Welcome! I am Jenny Wills, PhD, licensed clinical psychologist in Montana (#3187). I have extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of PTSD and other mental health disorders, in addition to teaching techniques for psychological wellness and resiliency. My 21-year law enforcement career (1986-2007) included high-risk tactical assignments such as SWAT and the Canine Unit, as well as other patrol and field operations assignments. My experience and background help bring insight and perspective on potential mental health stressors and challenges for first responders.

I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, other trauma-related disorders, depression, other mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Potentially traumatic incidents and stressors experienced on the job are an inevitable part of being a first responder. Navigating these experiences in a healthy way are essential for personal growth, trauma recovery, and longevity on and off the job.

I provide a full range of psychological services for individuals including psychotherapy and psychodiagnostic evaluations (such as for PTSD, ADHD, or other diagnostic questions). I am also available to agencies to conduct  preemployment evaluations (following a conditional offer of employment), annual wellness checks, post critical incident check ins, and fitness evaluations.

My practice is specifically focused on current, former, and retired first responders or Veterans. First responders may include EMS, urban or rural firefighters, law enforcement officers, wildland firefighters, and dispatchers for emergency services.  I am  accepting new clients, with in-person appointments in Missoula on alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays, and telehealth appointments on alternating weeks. Text (406) 239-8113 for a call back to determine fit and schedule.

I will be establishing an office location and appointment days in Whitefish or Columbia Falls in the coming months.

I currently accept self-pay clients, referrals from 911 At Ease International (Missoula PD, Missoula FD, and other participating agencies), Cigna (Allegiance), and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I am expanding to TriWest and Tricare for veterans, and will update this post when their approval process is complete.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, such as having thoughts of imminent harm to yourself or  another person, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
